The Higginsville Board of Aldermen approved yearly appointments to various committees during its meeting on Monday, January 6.

Aldermen reviewed each appointment from Mayor Donald Knehans. These appointments include Tim Trigg to the Building Code Board of Appeals, Larry Meinershagen and David Reid to Higginsville Community Betterment, Deb Krieger and Jill Sutherland to the Historic Preservation Commission, and Daryl Augustine, Donnie Kennedy, and Dennis Stoll to the Industrial Development Authority.

In other news, the board approved an amendment to the State Block Grant Agreement regarding a project at the Higginsville Industrial Municipal Airport. The amendment is for an additional $37,987 in grant funding to be applied to the runway reclamation project.
