The Moberly City Council approved a resolution to appoint a new treasurer and collector for the city during its meeting on Wednesday, January 8.

The council voted to appoint Allison Boyd to the positions during regular session. In her role, Boyd will supervise the City’s annual budget based on departmental requests and revenue projections, coordinate audit activities, communicate financial matters with the council, and ensure contractual and regulatory compliance. Boyd recently served as the Chief Financial Officer for CenterPointe Hospital in Columbia.

In other news, the council appointed Josh Barrett to the Board of Adjustment to serve a five-year term.

The council then decided to move the dates for two of its upcoming meetings. The council is moving its January 20th meeting to January 21st due to Martin Luther King Jr. Day, and its February 17th meeting to February 18th in observance of President’s Day.
