The Carroll County Route J bridge over Bridge Creek, located west of Hale, is still on track to close Monday, January 13.
The bridge was originally scheduled to close Monday, December 2, but has been pushed back several times due to contractor scheduling conflicts and weather. The project to replace the bridge is expected to be complete in May 2025.
During construction, motorists will need to find an alternate route. The Bridge Creek Bridge was built in 1932 and has a traffic volume of approximately 487 vehicles per day. The full list of bridges to be replaced can be found on the Northwest Bridge Bundle web page.
All work is weather permitting and schedules are subject to change.
