Trinity Turner’s steal, followed by her three-point basket at the buzzer, doomed the Missouri Tigers to a 74-72 loss at Georgia on Thursday, Jan. 9, keeping Mizzou winless in SEC play.

Turner swiped the ball from Ashton Judd with seven seconds remaining, then positioned herself behind the arc to receive a pass from Asia Avinger to float her three-point jumper as time expired, capping a 16-6 run by the Bulldogs to close the game. Mizzou had led by 10 at the half and 14 early in the fourth quarter, before Mizzou’s offense stumbled through the final term.

The Tigers had solid performances overall from Ashton Judd, who led Mizzou with 22 points. Teammates Laniah Randle and Angelique Ngalakulondi both posted double-doubles, with Ngalakulondi adding 15 points and ten boards while Randle scored 12 points with ten rebounds.

Mizzou are now 11-7 overall with an 0-3 mark in conference play. They host Florida on Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m.
