High school seniors seeking the Missouri State Fair’s Youth in Agriculture Scholarships need to get their applications in a little earlier this year.
Fair director Jason Moore says the deadline is earlier than in previous years.
Eligible applicants must be a high school senior who is active in 4-H or FFA, have previously shown exhibits at the Missouri State Fair, and plan to enroll in an accredited college or university next academic year. Moore says the total amount awarded by the Youth in Agriculture program surpassed the one-million dollar mark last year.
Seven applicants will receive supreme or platinum scholarships ranging from $2500 to $5000, while a number of other qualifying applicants will receive $1500 for their studies. Details about the program, including the application, are available on the Missouri State Fair’s website.
