The St Louis Blues struggled to make the most of their chances, falling to the Columbus Blue Jackets 2-1 on Saturday, Jan. 11 at Enterprise Center.
The Blues were 12 seconds away from being shut out at home when Colton Parayko fielded a rebound off Justin Faulk’s shot on a power play. That was the only goal recorded out of 32 shot attempts by the Blues, while Columbus netted goals by Adam Fantilli and Cole Sillinger.
St Louis are now four points behind Vancover for second in the Western Conference wild card standings, while trailing Dallas by 11 points for third in the Central Division. The Blues will have Calgary in town for their next two games, set for Tuesday and Thursday at 7 p.m.
