A pair of bridge maintenance projects scheduled for Cooper County have been delayed.

The Missouri Department of Transportation was scheduled to conduct maintenance to the Route K bridge over the Blackwater River and the Route U bridge over the Petite Saline Creek, southeast of Boonville. These projects will now take place at a later date.

Meanwhile, road work is underway in Lafayette County, closing two sections of Route D. Shoulder work began Monday, Jan. 13 from Oakwood Drive, across the Sni-A-Bar Creek to the intersection with Route FF south of Napoleon. The work will take place between Monday and Thursday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day. Another section of Route D, from Interstate 70 in Bates City north to Happy Hollow Road, will close Monday through Friday, also between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m.
