Danny Lee “Butch” Brooks, 78, of Marshall, MO, died Saturday, January 11, 2025, at Moberly Regional Medical Center in Moberly.

Memorial graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, January 17, 2025, at Sunset Gardens Cemetery in Marshall.  Memorials are suggested to family choice and an online guestbook is available at https://www.campbell-lewis.com/.

Born December 31, 1946, in Marshall, he was the son of the late Joseph Wilbur Brooks Sr. and Lucille McDonell Brooks.  Butch lived in Saline County his entire life and was a graduate of Marshall High School.  He retired from Marshall Habilitation Center where he was a fire safety specialist and also helped local farmers.

Survivors include one son, Dustin Brooks (Kathy) of rural Marshall; two brothers, Joe Brooks Jr. and James “Chinaman” Brooks, both of rural Marshall; three grandchildren, Reagan, Coleman and Nash; as well as nieces, nephews and other extended family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Linda Darlene McMellen; and one brother, Ronnie “Gabby” Brooks.
