The Missouri State High School Activities Association has announced that two of its executives will retire after the end of this school year.

The organization announced Monday, Jan. 13 the retirements of senior associate executive director Stacy Schroeder and assistant executive director Marty Marsh. Schroeder has worked at MSHSAA for 31 years, overseeing volleyball, swimming and diving, and scholar bowl. She’s also handled MSHSAA’s personnel management, school membership and classification, and other functions within the organization. Marsh joined MSHSAA in 2021 after 27 years as an educator, coach, and assistant athletic director in the Springfield Public Schools system. He’s supervised softball and soccer during his time at MSHSAA, as well as shepherded the spinning off of theatre from speech and debate this past year.

Marsh’s retirement is effective June 30th, while Schroeder’s last day is July 31st. The MSHSAA Board of Directors will begin the process of hiring a successor.
