The Sweet Springs Board of Aldermen discussed snow removal and snow routes during its meeting on Monday, January 13.

The Public Works Department reported that the department has been busy clearing snow from the city’s streets after last week’s winter storm. Public Works employee Nick Taber was present at the meeting and said the department needed cutting edges for snow plows. The board took action to order the equipment.

The board also wanted to remind residents to not park their vehicles along the city’s designated snow routes. Any vehicle left on a snow route would be towed by the Sweet Springs Police Department. You can view a map of the city’s snow routes below.
