Radek Faksa’s deflection of Tyler Tucker’s shot from point went top-shelf past Dan Vladar, allowing the St Louis Blues to defeat the Calgary Flames 2-1 on Tuesday, Jan. 14 at Enterprise Center.
Faksa’s goal gave the Blues the lead halfway through the third period, restoring the lead St Louis claimed just 49 seconds into the game when Colton Parayko picked up on a saved shot to send his wrist shot into the net. Calgary’s Kevin Bahl tied the game up six minutes into the third frame for Jordan Binnington’s lone blemish of the night. Calgary registered 27 shots to the Blues’ 25.
St Louis advance to 46 points, three behind Calgary for second in the Western Conference wild card standings. The Blues remain fifth in the Central Division, trailing Dallas for third by 11 points. The Blues entertain Calgary again Thursday night, with puck drop at 7 p.m.
