The Malta Bend Board of Education approved a contract for mental health counseling services during its most recent meeting.

Superintendent Aaron Feagan says the board approved a contract with Burrell Behavior Health for the counseling services. Feagan says this contract will help the district provide more services to students.

In other news, Feagan highlighted the hard work of the district’s elementary students on this year’s Christmas program. He says the district even took students out of school in December to perform at an area nursing home.

The board’s next meeting is scheduled for Monday, February 10.
