
A two-vehicle crash just north of Marshall on U.S. Route 65 on Wednesday, Jan. 15 sent two people to a nearby hospital.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the crash occurred just north of Speyer Lane around 7:50 a.m. According to troopers, a southbound vehicle driven by a 23-year-old woman from Marshall turned into the path of a northbound van driven by a 35-year-old Marshall man, resulting in the collision. The Marshall woman suffered moderate injuries and was taken by ambulance to Fitzgibbon hospital. The van’s driver received minor injuries and was also treated at Fitzgibbon.
Traffic on U.S. Route 65 was delayed for about an hour as Marshall Police, Saline County Ambulance District, and the Saline County Sheriff’s Office assisted in the response.
