Missouri Valley wrestler Kelani Corbett is this week’s Heart of America Athletic Conference women’s wrestler of the week.

Corbett allowed just one point against her in her three victories at last weekend’s York Open in Nebraska, all by technical falls. She took first place overall in the 180-pound class, defeating Isabella Renfo of Fort Hays by a 12-1 score in the quarters, then kept Colorado Mesa’s Maggie Smith and Alison Evans off the scoreboard with an 11-0 victory over Smith in the semis and 10-0 win over Evans in the finals. Corbett is ranked second in the nation and has her second Heart award of the season, having claimed one in late November.

Corbett and the tenth-ranked Viking women’s wrestling team will host sixth-ranked Baker in a conference dual Wednesday at 7 p.m. in the Burns Athletic Complex.
