The New Franklin School District Board of Education is finalizing the specifications for upcoming HVAC and roofing projects as the district plans to request for bids in the coming weeks.

The board discussed the projects during its meeting on January 15. Superintendent Benji Dorson says these projects fall under a $2,000,000 bond that was approved in April 2024.

Dorson says the board hopes to review the bids for the HVAC and roof projects in the spring.

In other new, the board set this year’s graduation date as Sunday, May 18. This is a change from previous years, where graduation was held on Mother’s Day.
