The Higginsville Board of Aldermen heard a report regarding the city’s 2024 budget during its meeting on Tuesday, January 21.
City Administrator Jeanette Dobson said the board reviewed and approved the budget at the meeting, with the only hiccup being expenditures in the Library Fund exceeding what budgeted.
Dobson also notes that the city is in a strong financial position.
The city’s audit was completed by Gerding, Korte and Chitwood. The board also decided to move its second meeting in February to Tuesday, February 18 due to President’s Day.
