A late addition to Wednesday night’s agenda saw the Carrollton Town Council recognize the completion of a sewer project in the city.

Mayor Susie Bliss tells KMMO News that the council approved a change order, accounting for an additional $64,000 cost incurred by contractors.

Among the council’s discussion items, Bliss says the town council was informed of a vacant property owned by Carrollton that will soon go out for bid.

Also at Wednesday night’s meeting, the Carrollton Town Council accepted the bid from Ag-Power for the purchase of a new zero-turn lawn mower for the park department. Bliss notes that the mower replaces one that the town had leased. The council also renewed agreements with the Carroll County Fair for use of Walnut Hills Park and with Carroll County for use of the court house for the municipal court.
