Marshall Public Schools has two First LEGO League (FLL) Challenge robotics teams advancing to the Missouri Regional Championship following successful finishes at the qualifier on Saturday, January 11.

Marshall’s two teams, The 3 Roboteers and The Dreamineers, competed against 25 other teams vying for advancement to the Regional Championship at the FLL Central Missouri Qualifier. Participating teams were challenged to identify and research a problem related to the ocean and develop an innovation solution to solve the problem. Teams also worked to design, build, and perfect competition robots, and devise strategies where their autonomous robot could obtain the most points possible.

The 3 Roboteers took first in the event, while The Dreamineers placed fourth.

Both teams now advance to the regional championship, which will take place at Francis Howell High School in St. Charles on Saturday, February 22.

42 teams from around the state will compete for a chance advance to the FLL World’s Festival in Houston, Texas, as well as advancements to FLL Open Invitational events around the country.

Lia Cubero, Raegan Thompson, and Josephine Reinke represent The 3 Roboteers, while Vincil Butner, Brady Grossenburg, Reagan Wilcoxson, and Calvin Linsenbardt are on The Dreamineers.
