The Pettis County Commission has appointed Jessica Capkovic to serve as the interim Pettis County Clerk and Election Authority.

Capkovic’s appointment is effective immediately until a permanent replacement is appointed by Missouri Governor Mike Kehoe. Presiding Commissioner Bill Taylor says Capkovic’s appointment came highly recommended.

Capkovic brings years of experience and currently works in the Pettis County Clerk’s Office. Her appointment follows a vacancy created by former County Clerk Nick La Strada’s recent appointment as Director of Election Integrity by Missouri Secretary of State Denny Hoskins.
