A Bosworth man was injured after colliding with an animal on a Carroll County highway Sunday, Jan. 26.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that the 31-year-old was driving his minivan south on Route 139 near the bridge over Hurricane Creek when just after 7 a.m., he struck an animal in the roadway. The van went off the left side of the road, striking a post before coming to rest in the creek bed. The driver was taken to a Kansas City area hospital with moderate injuries.
