A Warsaw man endured serious injury after his vehicle left a Benton County highway and struck a tree Tuesday, Jan. 28.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the vehicle driven by the 37-year-old was going north on Route MM east of Warsaw, when just before 2 p.m., the car went off the left side of the roadway before the intersection with McLaughlin Road and struck a small tree. The driver was flown to a Columbia hospital. Troopers say he had not been wearing his seat belt at the time of the crash.
