Jordan Kyrou’s slap shot in the third period snapped the St Louis Blues’ four-game losing skid, as the Blues defeated the Utah Hockey Club 2-1 on Sunday, Feb. 2 at the Delta Center in Salt Lake City.

Kyrou’s game-winner came four minutes after Michael Kesselring tied the game with his sixth goal of the year, and third against the Blues. Alexandre Texier opened the scoring for St Louis late in the first period with a wrist shot. The Blues dominated face-offs, winning 63 percent of them, while registering 29 shots. Jordan Binnington recorded 24 saves in the winning effort for St Louis.

The win lifts the Blues back into fifth in the Central Division with 52 points, seven points behind Calgary for the second Western Conference wild card spot. The Blues return home to face Edmonton on Tuesday night, with puck drop around 7 p.m.
