UPDATE @ 10:40 a.m., Feb. 3rd, 2025: The Concordia Board of Aldermen have cancelled their meeting for Monday, Feb. 3, citing “unforeseen circumstances”.  City officials will make an updated agenda available once the meeting is rescheduled.

The first Monday in February has five city councils and boards of aldermen planning to gather Monday, Feb. 3.

The Town of Carrollton will consider bids for replacement of the roof at City Hall when they meet at 6 p.m. tonight. The town council will also consider amending the duties of the police chief and dissolving the animal control board. Also at 6 p.m. tonight, the Higginsville Board of Aldermen will consider an agreement with the Federal Aviation Administration to complete a flight inspection as part of the project to rehabilitate the runway at the municipal airport. The Moberly City Council also meets at 6 p.m. tonight, with a request for bids on renovations of City Hall and phase two of the 911 Dispatch Center among the items on their agenda.

At 6:30 p.m., the Sedalia City Council will meet to consider a cooperative agreement with the Missouri Department of Conservation for management of the Spring Fork Lake property, and receive the annual report from the Scott Joplin International Ragtime Foundation. The council will also review a bid for a new police vehicle totaling $44,657.

Lastly, the Boonville City Council meets at 7 p.m. to consider Mayor Ned Beach’s nomination of Susan Meadows to fill a vacant seat in Ward Two. The council will also review a pay request of $25,032.50 for remodeling the upstairs of City Hall.
