The Missouri Department of Transportation is replacing several Saline County bridges along Interstate-70.
MoDOT Area Engineer Marisela Ward says MoDOT is replacing these bridges because they got hit multiple times by passing vehicles on I-70.
MoDOT is expected to begin replacing the Lemon Trail Bridge later this month, with the project expected to be complete by August of this year.
The second bridge MoDOT is replacing along I-70 is the Nitrogen Avenue Bridge, east of J Highway. This bridge has also been struck multiple times. This bridge replacement will begin after the Lemon Trail Bridge Project is complete. Ward says this bridge is expected to be complete in 2026.
