A familiar face is returning to the Boonville City Council.

The council approved Mayor Ned Beach’s recommendation appointing Susan Meadows to the vacant position in Ward 2. Meadows previously served on the council for several years before losing her re-election bid during the April 2024 General Municipal Election.

Meadows was sworn-in and will fill the term until April 2026.

In other news, the council approved an agreement with the Missouri Department of Economic Development for a CDBG Grant. This $500,000 grant will be used to aid with the expansion and renovation for childcare facilities.
