Wayne Orey, 73, of Marshall, MO, died Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at his home.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 11, 2025, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall with William W. Harlow officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Born October 4, 1951, in Independence, MO, he was the son of the late Clee Carl Orey and Della Ruth Dille Orey. Wayne was a 1969 graduate of Ft. Osage High School and a 1973 graduate of Northwest Missouri State University. On December 1, 1973, he married Barbara Jean Duvall, and she survives of the home. Wayne’s career was spent in sales and he had worked at Conlon Distributing and retired from Riggins R-Co in Marshall in 2019. Wayne was of the Catholic faith and a 4th degree Knight.
In addition to his wife of 51 years, Barb; he is survived by three daughters: Tari Fitzgerald (Patrick) of Boonville, Marci Staley (Ryan Adcock) of Marshall and Julie Orey of Marshall; six grandchildren: Alyssa and Rachel Fitzgerald, Lily, Sinjin and Bennett Staley and Tatum Turley; as well as nieces and nephews.
