The Marshall City Council is postponing the work session concerning the future of the Eastwood Elementary School site.

Mayor Vince Lutterbie tells KMMO News that Wednesday’s forecast has prompted the city to push the session back to Tuesday, Feb. 18 at 5 p.m., prior to the next city council meeting. The city is slated to assume ownership of the site of the school at the end of the school year, with the current plan calling for Marshall Public Schools to tear down the building and regrade the site.

The city’s code enforcement hearings scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2025 are also cancelled, with those hearings now taking place in March.
