The Concordia Board of Aldermen reviewed bids for work on the grounds of the North Lagoon during its most recent meeting.
City Administrator Dale Klussman reported that the North Lagoon has filled up with silt, causing water flow problems.
Klussman says there were two potential solutions to this problem.
The board decided the best option was to scrape and pile the dirt from the lagoon for future use for the city. The board accepted the bid from Earthworks Excavation in the amount of $30,000 for the work.
The board’s next meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, February 18. Concordia City Hall will be closed on Monday, February 17 for President’s Day.
