Sheryl Ann Newton, 69, of Marshall, MO, died Tuesday, February 11, 2025, at Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall.

Born November 2, 1955, at the Ft. McClellan United States Army Hospital in Alabama, she was the daughter of the late Norman Warren Card and Esther Pauline Arnold Cooper.  On February 21, 1976, she married Roger Dale Newton who preceded her in death on April 7, 2023.  Sheryl lived in Marshall most of her life and retired from Marshall Habilitation Center as a developmental assistant.  During her later years as her health declined, Sheryl found enjoyment playing on her computer, especially bingo.

Survivors include one daughter, Michele Garrison (John) of Marshall; six grandchildren: Sarah Dietz (Denver), Cherrie Surface, Shannon Arndt (Bobby), Christopher Garrison, Alley Wilson (Geno) and Kayla Walker (Moradiance Wheeler); 11 great-grandchildren; five siblings: Bobby Card of Edwards, Brenda Sprinkle of Sedalia, Norma Strahl of Mt. Leonard, Richard Card of Sedalia and Susan Wolbert of the state of California; as well as many nieces, nephews, and other extended family.

Sheryl was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two daughters, Linda Kay Newton (in infancy) and Sheryl Surface; and one sister, Debra Kay Widel.
