
Laura Mae Pummill, 72, of Sweet Springs, MO, died Tuesday February 11, 2025, in Jefferson City, MO.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 19, 2025, with visitation from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. all at the Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall, MO. Willie Harlow will officiate. Burial will be held at 2 p.m. in Dority Cemetery in Climax Springs, MO. Memorial are suggested to family choice in care of the funeral home. Laura was born on June 4, 1952, in Warsaw, MO, to the late Clarence Ala Dority and Margarit Leona (Braden) Dority. She was a 1970 graduate of Climax Springs High School. Laura married Landon C. Pummill on November 2, 1973 in Houstonia, MO. She retired from Sweet Springs R-7 School District as head cook. She was Scout Master of Troop 44 in Sweet Springs, assistant 4-H leader of Kennedy 4-H Chapter in Sweet Springs, volunteered multiple hours for the hunter’s education program of the Missouri Dept. of Conservation and was a member of the Sweet Springs Assembly of God Church.
Survivors include her husband, Landon (Lanny) Pummill of the home; two children, Landra Collins (Ian) and Landon Bryan Pummill (Michelle) both of Jefferson City; grandchildren: Michelle, Joseph, Cecilia, Paige and Kolby; two sisters, Gladys McCown (Mike) of Windsor, MO and Dorothy Sipe (Dennis) of Sweet Springs; and many nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Laura was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Alice Boston, Eugene Dority, Edward Dority, Lee Roy Dority and Betty Lucas.
