The Sweet Springs Board of Aldermen approved the 2025 Saline County Emergency Management agreement during its meeting on Monday, February 10.

City Clerk Michelle Fuehring state the per capital assessment was a five cent increase from 2024 at $1.89. The voluntary assessment for the city is $2,487.24. Aldermen voted unanimously to enter into the Emergency Management agreement.

The board then discussed the Main Street lift station project. The has been reaching out to companies to get bids to repair the station. After some discussion, the board decided to continue reaching out for more bids.

In other news, the board approved a $2,700.74 bid from Tony’s Auto Repair to repair a vehicle for the Police Department.
