
Saline County is seeing a slight increase in its sales and use tax collections from last month, but those numbers are also down from 2024.
Saline County Treasurer Jared Brewer presented the figures from the Missouri Department of Revenue, highlighting that Saline County took in $119,176.72 in sales taxes, which is up about $7,000 from last month, but down $13,000 from last year.
Use tax collections followed a similar trend, up about $5,000 from last month to a total of $89,383.19, however, that number is down $10,000 from 2024.
The economic development and law enforcement taxes experienced similar results, seeing increases from last month, but still being below the figures from this time last year.
Brewer presented these numbers during his report to the County Commission on Wednesday, February 12.
