A Sedalia man has been arrested after Pettis County authorities served a search warrant on February 12.
The Pettis County Sheriff’s Office says detectives received a cyber tip from the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, detailing that someone within Pettis County had uploaded multiple videos containing child sexual abuse material. The investigation culminated in Pettis County detectives, with the assistance of the Cass County Sheriff’s Office, serving a search warrant at a Sedalia residence to arrest Keishawn Davis. Multiple electronic devices were seized during the execution of the search warrant with a confirmed presence of child sexual abuse material.
Davis has been charged with eight felony counts of promoting child pornography in the first degree and possession of child pornography. Bond was set at $100,000 cash or surety, with the additional condition that if he should post bond, he may not possess an internet-capable device.
Davis was arraigned on Friday, February 14. A counsel status hearing is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, February 25, at Pettis County Circuit Court.
