Winter Storm Warnings are in place for counties along and south of Interstate 70 as the next round of wintry precipitation is set to come through the area Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2025.

Meteorologist Harrison Hayes with the National Weather Service in Pleasant Hill says the storm is expected to arrive early Tuesday and produce snow throughout the day.

Hayes says the forecast as of Monday morning is calling for at least four inches of snow in Marshall, five to nine inches in Sedalia, and as much as a foot of snowfall in Springfield and parts of Southwest Missouri. However, Hayes notes that the amount of snow will depend on available moisture as the system rolls through the state.

Should the weather cause closings, cancellations and postponements this week, we’ll have that list on our website.
