
Robert Craig Hicks, 65, of Sweet Springs, MO, died Friday, February 14, 2025, at his home.
A memorial visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, February 24, 2025, at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Sweet Springs. Memorials are suggested to the Missouri Department of Conservation and an online guestbook is available at https://www.campbell-lewis.com/.
Born March 26, 1959, in Kansas City, he was the son of Denzel Robert “Jack” Hicks, who survives of Sweet Springs, and the late Celia Adeline Downs Hicks. Craig lived in Sweet Springs most of his life and was a 1977 graduate of Sweet Springs High School. After graduation, Craig enlisted into the United States Navy and served 4 years when he was honorably discharged. While in the Navy, Craig became skilled as an electrician and pursued that vocation following his discharge. He had worked for several years at ConAgra in Marshall as a maintenance electrician and then for private contractors. Craig was an avid outdoorsman and especially enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to his father, Jack; he is survived by two siblings, Linda Evans of Concordia and Kevin Hicks (Julie) of rural Sweet Springs; as well as several nieces, nephews and other extended family.
