salisbury

A longtime city employee is the new Salisbury Superintendent of City Services.

Mayor Steve Kacvinsky tells KMMO News that the city promoted Michael Humphrey to the position earlier this month. Humphrey began working for Salisbury in October 2001 as a lineman and has also served on the park board for 20 years. Kacvinsky says Humphrey is very knowledgable, as he also has experience running the city’s water plant and helping with the construction of the city’s sewer land application system.

Two appointments were made at last week’s Salisbury Board of Aldermen meeting. Ann Fitzgerald was named to the library board, while aldermen approved hiring Eddie Hunter as the city’s dog catcher. The board also directed police chief James Cole to collect bids for replacing the shelter at the city’s shooting range. Kacvinsky says plans are for the new shelter to be installed during the summer.
