Detectives with the Mid-Missouri Drug Task Force and deputies with the Pettis County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at a Sedalia apartment on Sunday, February 16, leading to the arrest of two subjects.
Upon arrival in the apartment, Dreyvin and Jesse Rubio were arrested and taken into custody. Both subjects were located near digital scales and about a half a gram of fentanyl. Several other controlled substances and prescription drugs were also seized by authorities.
Deputies also recovered a stolen laptop and multiple firearms. Jesse Rubio does have prior convictions and is not permitted to own a firearm. A probable cause statement says Dreyvin Rubio spoke to deputies and stated that she and Jesse used fentanyl and would sell it as well.
Both subjects have been charged with felonies for trafficking drugs in the second degree, unlawful use of a weapon, armed criminal action, possession on a controlled substance, and maintaining a public nuisance. Additionally, Dreyvin has been charged with a felony for unlawful transfer of a weapon to a felon, while Jesse is facing a charge for unlawful possession of a firearm. Dreyvin’s bond was set at $75,000, with Jesse’s bond at $150,000 cash or surety.
Both were arraigned on Tuesday, February 18. Each are due for a hearing at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, February 25, at Pettis County Circuit Court.
