The cold weather isn’t deterring crews from replacing a bridge in northwestern Carroll County.

Presiding Commissioner Stan Falke tells KMMO News that work is continuing on a new bridge along County Road 225 outside Coloma.

Falke says the project should take 60 to 90 days. Commissioners discussed the work among other bridge projects during a pre-engineering meeting last week with representatives from Great River Engineering. Falke says one major project awaiting county motorists this fall is the Old Route 65 bridge over the BNSF tracks in Carrollton.

Falke says the Old Route 65 bridge project should go to bid in the late spring.
