
Deanna Kay Rehmsmeyer, 87, of Concordia, MO, died Monday, February 17, 2025, at her home.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, February 22, 2025, at St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Ernestville, MO, with Pastor Perry Copus officiating. Visitation will be held from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will be in St. Matthew Lutheran Cemetery. Born July 13, 1937, in Kansas City, MO, she was the daughter of the late Stephen Demeter and Selma Jean Hulce Demeter. She was baptized at Bethany Baptist Church in 1948. Deanna was a 1955 graduate of Westport High School in Kansas City, MO. On September 30, 1955, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Kansas City, MO, she married Virgil H. Rehmsmeyer who preceded her in death on June 19, 2018. She was a member and very active in St. Matthew Lutheran Church, a member of the Concordia Historical Society and V.F.W. Auxiliary. She was a homemaker until her children were grown, then she worked at various jobs until her retirement. She enjoyed art and watching cooking shows attempting to duplicate the recipes. She was a very generous donor to many, many charities. Deanna always looked forward to coffee on Friday with her friends.
Survivors include one daughter, Patricia Heermann of Plainfield, IN; two sons, David Rehmsmeyer (Lori Fraiser) and Daniel Rehmsmeyer of Concordia; two grandchildren, Erica Riley (Douglas) of Plainfield, IN and Cory Rehmsmeyer (Leila) of Carmel, IN; and three great-grandchildren, Beckham and Maeve Riley and Leon Rehmsmeyer.
In addition to her parents and husband of 62 years, Deanna was preceded in death by one brother, Donald Demeter; and a son-in-law, Kim Heermann.
