The Carrollton Town Council tabled discussion Wednesday, Feb. 19 on a proposed 20-year renewal of their gas franchise agreement with Spire.

Mayor Susan Bliss tells KMMO News that the council didn’t have all the information needed to make a decision on the renewal, notably the fee the town collects from the utility provider. Also discussed last night were fuel bids for the city’s fleet, and Bliss says the council awarded the bid.

The council also reviewed bids to purchase the parks department’s 20-year-old Gator.

The Carrollton Town Council also accepted the lone bid for a lot on West Benton that the city had listed for sale last month, and discussed several items pertaining to city employee benefits, ranging from meal allowances and paid time off to changing position titles. Bliss says several of the items will need to go into a new ordinance that council will consider at a future meeting.
