The Glasgow R-II Board Of Education approved contract extensions for their three principals.

At their meeting Wednesday, Feb. 19, the school board approved extensions for elementary principal Jessica Elson, middle school principal Kim Westhues, and high school principal Rex Beltz. They also accepted the resignation of Jamie Thies, who will depart her role as preschool and Title One coordinator at the middle school at the end of the school year. The board also approved the mid-year budget review and conducted a quarterly review of their Continuous School Improvement Plan (CSIP).

Also Wednesday night, the school board approved the addition of a rural youth apprenticeship for the next school year. District leaders will need to develop guidelines before the program begins. Lastly, the board approved a quote from Ron Clawson for the annual cleaning, buffing, and application of a new coat of finish to the gym floor this summer.
