A pair of FFA chapters and three 4-H clubs are among 20 groups receiving Building Our American Communities grants from the Missouri Department of Agriculture.

The California and Versailles FFA chapters, along with the Kountry Kids 4-H Club of Versailles, Pershing’s Pride 4-H Club of Linneus, and Show-Me 4-H Club of California, will each receive $500 to go toward their projects this summer. Eligible projects include upgrades or additions to existing facilities, grounds or buildings to public spaces including fairgrounds, parks or community centers. The Building Our American Communities grant program has funded such projects through 4-H and FFA organizations for nearly 50 years. The grants are funded through Missouri’s Agriculture Development Fund under an agreement with USDA. Projects receiving grants must be completed by Aug. 1.
