The Carrollton R-VII School Board of Education spent two days last week interviewing six firms seeking to manage facility projects the district hopes to complete should voters agree to renew their levy rate next year.

Supt. Dr Tinna Croy says the board has a tough decision ahead of them as they review their options.

The winning firm will help the district devise a list of projects to fund should the district’s current levy rate be renewed by voters. Croy says the goal is to put the issue before voters in April 2026, as the rate expires in 2027.

The interviews took place Feb. 13 and 14, following the district’s regular board meeting Feb 11. Croy notes that Carrollton renewed its food service agreement with Opaa! for a three-year term.

Carrollton’s school board also reviewed its monthly enrollment report and received the mid-year A-Plus report, as well as discussed the prospect of upgrading the sign outside the Carrollton Area Career Center. The board also renewed their staff benefits package with OSBA which involves a slight increase in premium.
