Missouri Valley College will welcome a former president of the Federal Reserve Bank’s Kansas City branch to deliver a speech Monday, Feb. 24 at the Murrell Library.

Assistant Dean of Library and Academic Support Services Samantha Perkins says the campus will welcome Esther George, who worked at the Kansas City Fed for 41 years, including 12 as its president.

Perkins says that George is expected to reflect on her roots in Northwest Missouri and how she rose through the ranks, proving that potential career paths aren’t limited to where someone grew up.

Attendance to the speech is free. George will begin her speech around noon Monday at the Center for Excellence in Teaching & Learning.
