The Missouri Tigers were unable to keep up on the road, as a halftime lead turned into a 92-85 loss at the Arkansas Razorbacks on Saturday, Feb. 22 at Bud Walton Arena in Fayetteville.

The Tigers led by seven at the half, taking advantage of a 14-2 run to counter an early deficit. However, the Tigers’ leading scorer at the half Caleb Grill was kept off the scoreboard after halftime, missing all seven of his shots from distance. Mizzou could only make 36 percent of their shots in the second half, compared to 51 percent in the first. Balanced scoring from the Hogs, along with 20 rebounds and 13 points off Mizzou turnovers in the second half, lifted Arkansas to a much-needed win for their tournament resume. The Tigers also struggled to stay out of foul trouble, as Arkansas went 28-for-37 from the free-throw line while Mizzou only had 17 attempts all game.

Mark Mitchell led the Tigers with 17 points, while Marques Warrick added 16 from the bench and Caleb Grill had 13 points. Zvonimir Ivisic led the Razorbacks with 20 points, as all five starters were in double figures.

The Tigers will look to rebound at home Tuesday night when they host a South Carolina squad that finally won its first conference game Saturday. Tipoff is at 8 p.m., with pregame at 7:30 p.m. on KMMO.
