Four people were injured—one seriously—after a two-vehicle crash Friday afternoon in Howard County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that just after 1 p.m., a car driven by a 19-year-old man from Farmington failed to stop at a stop sign as it was southbound on Route 240 approaching the intersection with U.S. Route 40. Troopers say the car entered the intersection and was struck by a westbound car driven by a 43-year-old woman from Marshall. The Farmington man was seriously injured, while a 19-year-old passenger from High Ridge sustained moderate injuries. The Marshall driver and her 39-year-old passenger received minor injuries. All four were taken to a Columbia hospital for treatment.
