Saline County homeowners age 62 and older can soon submit applications to receive a tax credit on their primary residence.

Collector Cindi Sims says her office is in the process of sending applications out to residents who had indicated interest in claiming the credit.

Sims says her office will also include a checklist for applicants to make sure they supply the necessary documents to verify their eligibility.

Applications are due Aug. 31 for the credit to apply for this tax year.
