Two rezoning requests received the approval of the Sedalia City Council at their meeting last week.

Interim City Administrator Matthew Wirt tells KMMO News what each rezoned parcel will soon feature.

Council members also accepted the final plat for a subdivision near the intersection of 12th and Winchester, where 16 duplexes will be built. The city council also approved an ordinance allowing overnight camping at Liberty Park on June 2 and Oct. 6, when the Big BAM (Bicycle Across Missouri) is scheduled to come through Sedalia on the Katy Trail.

The Sedalia City Council also approved a records destruction request from the finance department. A public hearing for annexation of a property owned by Sedalia Schools was postponed to the beginning of the council’s next meeting, March 3.
