The City of Sedalia’s Public Works Crews will continue to close a two-block stretch of S. Beacon Ave. over the next month for completion of a stormwater drainage improvement project.
Incelement weather during February has prompted crews to extend until March 21 the time they’ll need to work on the project between West 11th and West 14th streets. Closures will be intermittent and between the hours of 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. Heavy equipment and workers will also be in the area to repair the roadway once the stormwater improvements are installed. Crews now hope to wrap up the closures by March 21; however, more inclement weather or equipment issues may result in another rescheduling of the project.
