The Marshall Municipal Utilities Board of Public Works reviewed three bids for sewer main rehabilitation during its most recent meeting.
The board plans to rehabilitate 5,000 feet of eight inch sewer main using the cured-in-place-pipe method. The board accepted the low bid from Visu-Sewer in the amount of $122,260.75 for the project.
All three bids came in under the $150,000 budget.
In other news, the board approved a motion to request proposals to treat five wells and pull two well pumps for inspection and repair. Water Treatment Superintendent Travis Boss says this annual project has lengthened the life of MMU’s wells over the years.
